Based in Dallas, Texas, he will be responsible for building the Utilities practice management team, expanding existing service and solution delivery capabilities, developing new service offerings and innovations to meet the needs of the evolving digital market, opening new client and partner relationships, adding key skillsets and expertise to drive more successful utility transformations and overseeing sales and delivery operations.
Over the last 22 years, Birdsong has held progressive IT and management consulting positions dedicated to utilities with consulting firms such as Accenture, IBM, Capgemini, Black & Veatch and Infosys. For the last 11 years, he has focused on the delivery of global Oracle Utilities solutions, with responsibility for key account relationships, building sales and delivery teams, designing and managing utilities transformations and leading Oracle Utilities practices. He earned an honors degree in Economics from the University of Houston and served two terms as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for OAUG's Energy & Utilities SIG. According to Birdsong:
